Race-Laps Digital Download & Refund Policy
Last updated: 17/6/2026
This Digital Download & Refund Policy explains how Race-Laps handles purchases of digital benchmark data, telemetry files, onboard video, coaching resources, memberships and other digital content sold through Race-Laps.com.
Race-Laps is operated by Carbon Club. References to “Race-Laps”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Carbon Club and/or the Race-Laps platform. References to “you” or “your” mean the person buying or accessing digital content through Race-Laps.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. What counts as digital content?
Race-Laps sells digital motorsport performance content, which may include:
- benchmark lap data;
- telemetry files;
- speed traces;
- brake traces;
- throttle traces;
- GPS racing line data;
- onboard video;
- pedal input video;
- data review files;
- driver notes;
- coaching resources;
- downloadable performance packs;
- membership-based digital access.
Most Race-Laps products are supplied digitally and are available shortly after purchase.
2. Immediate access to digital content
When you buy digital benchmark data or other downloadable content, you may receive immediate access to the files through your Race-Laps account, order page, download link or email confirmation.
By placing an order and choosing immediate access, you agree that Race-Laps may begin supplying the digital content immediately.
You also acknowledge that once digital content has been accessed, downloaded or made available for use, you may lose your 14-day right to cancel, unless the content is faulty, not as described, unavailable or otherwise protected by your statutory rights.
3. Checkout acknowledgement
Before completing a purchase, you may be asked to confirm that:
“I agree to the Race-Laps Terms & Conditions and request immediate access to my digital content. I understand that once digital content is accessed or downloaded, I may lose my 14-day right to cancel.”
This acknowledgement is important because Race-Laps sells instant digital products that cannot reasonably be returned in the same way as physical goods.
4. When refunds are not normally available
Refunds are not normally available where:
- the digital file has already been accessed or downloaded;
- you have changed your mind after purchase;
- you purchased the wrong benchmark by mistake;
- you no longer need the file;
- you expected a different lap time improvement;
- you did not achieve the performance gain you hoped for;
- you bought content for the wrong class, circuit, layout or logger;
- the product was accurately described at the time of purchase;
- the file works, but does not match your preferred analysis method;
- you shared, copied or used the content after purchase.
Race-Laps benchmark data is a performance reference, not a guarantee of lap time improvement, race results or driver development outcomes.
5. When we may provide a refund, replacement or credit
We may provide a refund, replacement file, store credit or other remedy where:
- the wrong file was supplied;
- the file is corrupted and cannot be reasonably repaired or replaced;
- the download link does not work due to a Race-Laps technical fault;
- the product description was materially inaccurate;
- key content listed on the product page was missing;
- you were charged twice for the same order;
- the purchase was duplicated accidentally and the duplicate file has not been accessed;
- statutory consumer rights require a refund or other remedy.
Where possible, we will usually try to fix the issue first by supplying the correct file, repairing the link or replacing the download.
6. File compatibility
Race-Laps product pages aim to show relevant information such as:
- circuit;
- layout;
- class;
- lap time;
- contributor;
- data logger type;
- file type;
- whether brake trace is included;
- whether throttle trace is included;
- whether video is included.
You are responsible for checking that the product is suitable before purchase.
If you are unsure whether a file will work with your equipment or software, contact us before buying.
We are not normally able to refund a download simply because it does not work with a third-party workflow, software setup or device where the product information was accurate.
7. Download issues
If you cannot access a purchased download, contact us with:
- your name;
- order number;
- email address used at purchase;
- product purchased;
- a short explanation of the issue;
- any screenshots or error messages.
We will review the issue and, where appropriate, reissue the download link or provide another method of access.

8. Duplicate orders
If you accidentally purchase the same digital product more than once, contact us as soon as possible.
Where the duplicate file has not been accessed or downloaded, we may refund the duplicate order or issue store credit.
Where both copies have been accessed or downloaded, a refund may not be available.
9. Podium Membership
Podium Membership may include digital access benefits, member pricing, purchase limits, early access, discounts or other features shown on the membership page.
Unless stated otherwise, Podium Membership does not guarantee:
- access to every future benchmark file;
- access to every historical benchmark file;
- the availability of specific circuits or classes;
- coaching availability;
- contributor availability;
- lap time improvement;
- race results.
If Podium Membership is purchased and used to access member benefits or discounted digital content, refunds may be limited.
If membership renewals or subscriptions are introduced, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown separately.
10. Coaching bookings and services
This Policy mainly covers digital downloads.
Coaching bookings may have separate cancellation terms depending on the coach, format, location, circuit costs, preparation work and timing.
Where coaching includes digital review work, analysis, video review or preparation completed before a session, refunds may be reduced or unavailable for the work already performed.
Any specific coaching cancellation terms should be shown at the point of booking or agreed with the coach.
11. Contributor content
Some Race-Laps content is supplied by verified contributors, drivers, coaches or teams.
Race-Laps may review content before listing, but contributors remain responsible for the accuracy and ownership of their uploaded files.
If a dispute arises about contributor content, Race-Laps may temporarily suspend, replace, remove or investigate the content.
12. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights.
If digital content is faulty, not as described, unavailable, corrupted or supplied incorrectly, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy under applicable consumer law.
