TURN MYCHRON DATA INTO PERFORMANCE DECISIONS.
Race-Laps helps drivers and teams use AiM / MyChron kart telemetry for more than lap-time review. Compare your session against a proven benchmark lap and identify where performance differs through braking, corner speed, acceleration and engine behaviour.
WHAT RACE-LAPS DOES WITH AIM / MYCHRON DATA.
AiM and MyChron software gives you detailed session traces and channels. Race-Laps is designed to help answer the next question: where is the performance difference and what should you work on first?
Compatible MyChron session data can be compared against Race-Laps benchmark data for the same circuit and class, creating a structured Driver & Engine Comparison Report.
GET THE SESSION DATA
Export or provide the required AiM / MyChron session data from the normal logger workflow. Race-Laps supports compatible AiM / MyChron file and export formats where available.
CHOOSE THE REFERENCE
Select a Race-Laps benchmark for the correct circuit, class and available logger format, or use an eligible private reference within your own Race-Laps workflow.
COMPARE THE PERFORMANCE
Race-Laps aligns the available telemetry and analyses the lap or session through braking, corner entry, minimum speed, exit acceleration and comparable engine-performance areas.
PRIORITISE THE LAP TIME
The report is built to show where time is being gained or lost and which differences deserve attention first, rather than simply presenting another set of traces.
USE THE DATA YOU ALREADY RECORD.
Race-Laps is designed around real karting workflows. MyChron data can be brought into Race-Laps without changing how the driver records the session at the circuit.
NATIVE / EXPORTED SESSION WORKFLOW
Use the normal AiM / MyChron download and export process, then upload the compatible session or prepared comparison file into the relevant Race-Laps workflow.
- Compatible RS3 / AiM session workflows where supported
- XRK / XRZ / DRK / ZIP handling where applicable
- Prepared CSV comparison data where required
KEEP YOUR EXISTING LOGGER PROCESS
Race-Laps complements the existing AiM ecosystem. The logger still records the session and Race Studio remains useful for detailed inspection; Race-Laps adds structured benchmark comparison and performance prioritisation.
- No need to replace the logger workflow
- Suitable for private and benchmark comparisons
- Works alongside Race Studio analysis
DON’T TREAT EVERY LAP-TIME LOSS AS A DRIVING PROBLEM.
Where the available channels allow it, Race-Laps separates driving-performance differences from comparable engine-performance differences. That helps direct attention towards the driver, setup or engine area that is most likely to matter.
Analysis depth depends on the channels present in the uploaded data. Brake, throttle and additional sensor channels improve what can be concluded, but Race-Laps can still work from core speed, time, distance, GPS and engine data where available.
BRAKING & ENTRY
Compare speed reduction, entry performance and the time consequence through the braking phase.
MID-CORNER
Understand minimum-speed and trajectory differences without judging the corner from one number alone.
EXIT & ACCELERATION
See whether the lap-time difference continues after apex and into the following acceleration zone.
COMPARABLE PERFORMANCE
Review engine behaviour only where the available data and operating conditions make the comparison meaningful.
FROM SINGLE-DRIVER TESTING TO A FULL RACE TEAM.
Individual drivers can use Race-Laps to compare their own data with purchased or eligible benchmark laps. Pro Team extends the workflow across multiple drivers, classes, sessions, circuit setups and race-meeting records.
AIM / MYCHRON DATA ANALYSIS FAQ.
Can Race-Laps analyse MyChron kart data?
Yes. Compatible AiM / MyChron session data can be uploaded into supported Race-Laps workflows and compared against an eligible benchmark or private reference.
Which AiM / MyChron files can Race-Laps work with?
Race-Laps supports compatible AiM / MyChron workflows including XRK, XRZ, DRK, ZIP and prepared CSV data where supported by the relevant upload or comparison process.
Does Race-Laps replace Race Studio?
No. Race-Laps complements Race Studio. AiM software remains useful for downloading and inspecting logger data; Race-Laps adds benchmark comparison, prioritisation and Driver & Engine reporting.
Do I need brake and throttle sensors?
No. Additional channels can improve analysis depth, but Race-Laps can use the telemetry channels present in the compatible file. Conclusions should only be drawn where the available data supports them.
Can Pro Team use MyChron data from several drivers?
Yes. Pro Team is designed around multiple drivers, sessions and logger assignments so race-meeting data can remain associated with the correct driver and team workflow.
YOU ALREADY HAVE THE DATA.
NOW USE IT TO FIND THE TIME.
Find an eligible benchmark, upload your AiM / MyChron session data and turn the comparison into clear performance priorities.
